
Marco Tedde was elected Ombudsman of Alghero on 10th June 2002 with 12,838
votes on the second round, 56.33% of the vote. He is the head of a centre-right
coalition made up of Forza Italia, Alleanza Nazionale, Partito del Popolo Sardo,
Unione dei Democratici di Centro and Sardistas.
In 1994 and 1998, the two previous legislature, he was the commune councillor for
Forza Italia, obtaining the most votes for his party on two occasions.
Born in Alghero 45 years ago, Marco Tedde graduated in Law at the University of Sassari
in 1979 and practices law.
He has held various managerial posts in Forza Italia at local, provincial and regional
level.
Currently he is Extraordinary Commissary of Sardinian Railways.
He loves travelling, reading and listening to music. His favourite authors are: Gabriel
García Marquez, Wilbur Smith and Alessandro Baricco, while his favourite directors
are Altman and Benigni.
